The San Juan Basin Archaeological Society will present “Frauds, Myths and Mysteries in Archaeology,” a free panel discussion, at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 in Room 130 of Noble Hall at Fort Lewis College.
It will also hold a fundraising event, the John W. Sanders Lecture, “Otzi the 5,300-year-old Tyrolean Iceman and the World’s Oldest Tattoos,” at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 in the Student Union Ballroom at FLC. A social will take place at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets for the lecture are $10 and are available at the Durango Welcome Center, at www.durangoconcerts.com or 247-7657. If tickets are still available, they will be for sale for $13 at the door.
