The Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College released its fall schedule. All events are held at 5:30 p.m. in the Lyceum Room (Room 120) at the center, 1000 Rim Drive.
The schedule includes:
Sept. 14: Film screening of the documentary “Tribal Radio” and question-and-answer session with filmmaker Sean Owen and KSUT Public Radio staff.Oct. 24: Lecture, “The Renaissance Palace on Main Avenue: Durango’s Victorian Architecture,” by Judith Reynolds, arts journalist and historian.Nov. 28: Center of Southwest Studies doctoral fellow research and thesis presentation, “Examining Violence in the U.S.-Mexico Borderlands and its Impact on Nation Building,” with Patrick Troester, fellow and adjunct in history.Ongoing exhibits, which will close Dec. 14, include: “Treasures of the Southwest,” “Ben Nighthorse Campbell: Becoming Cheyenne” and “Spirit Lines: Helen Hardin Etchings.”For more information, visit swcenter.fortlewis.edu.
