Lighthouse Baptist Church
On Sunday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m. Lighthouse Baptist Church will present "Bethlehem Star" a musical and drama. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and childcare will be provided. In "Bethlehem Star" a snowstorm forces a young traveling family to seek shelter at a roadside motel, where they experience the Christ of Christmas. It is also the story of Hal and Nettie, the owners of the "Star Motel" and the wonderful Christmas they spend with the young traveling family. The church is located at 11502 Hwy. 145. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
The community is invited to view an outdoor live nativity featuring real animals beginning on Friday, Dec. 21, through Sunday, Dec. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. On Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24, the nativity will be from 5 to 7 p.m. The address is 1700 E. Empire St. Visitors are welcome to come and mingle at the scene to honor the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. There will be a sheep, donkey and people. Victory World Outreach Church
Victory World Outreach Church will present two performances only of "The Christmas Shoes" - A dramatic Christmas musical - on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 23, at 10:30 a.m. The play portrays a story of hope, compassion and supernatural circumstances with an uplifting tale of two families. St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 110 W. North St., Cortez, will have Christmas Carol Singing on Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24, at 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., join us for a traditional festive Christmas Eucharist. Childcare will be available.
