Robin Cordero, principal investigator and bio-archaeologist with the Office of Contract Archeology in Albuquerque, will give a lecture about explorations and discoveries of two agricultural sites at 7 p.m. Friday at Aztec Ruins National Monument, 725 Ruins Road, in Aztec.
The two sites include the San Luis de Cabezon in Sandoval County and the Beadmaker site in the central San Juan Basin near Huerfano Mesa. Cordero’s presentation will compare them and discuss how they relate to the development of agriculture in the San Juan Basin.
The event is free and open to all. The park and trail will be closed but the visitor center gates will open at 6:45 p.m. for the lecture.
