Andrew Gulliford, Fort Lewis College professor of history and environmental studies, will give a presentation, “Durango’s Own Olga Little,” at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Center of Southwest Studies, 1000 Rim Drive.
Gulliford’s lecture is about Olga Little, the only female “jackpacker” during the mining boom to deliver food, supplies and dynamite to high altitude mines in Southwest Colorado.
The Center of Southwest Studies summer lecture series, based on the theme “Women in the Southwest,” is free and open to all.
