12:05 p.m.: A man was remanded into custody from Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on suspicion of violating bond conditions.

2:53 p.m.: A man was cited on suspicion of speeding and careless driving in the 25000 block of County Road N after he was pulled over for reportedly making an unsafe turn.

2:54 p.m.: A man was arrested at the Blue Door Pawn Shop, 23915 County Road G, on a warrant for failure to appear on an indecent exposure charge after deputies responded to a report of a fight between him and another man. He reportedly had blood on his clothes and hands but could not give a coherent account of what happened. Deputies were unable to find the other man, and no charges were filed for assault. The suspect was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to intoxication.

4 p.m.: A man was arrested at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St., on suspicion of violating a protection order after he reportedly attempted to get fingerprinted while intoxicated.

Friday, June 8

8:37 a.m.: A man was cited on suspicion of failing to keep his dogs under control in the 27000 block of County Road H.6 after a woman reported his three dogs had attacked her dog, leaving bite wounds.

11:39 a.m.: A woman was remanded into custody from Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.

2:17 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 100 block of North 11th Street, Dolores, on suspicion of disorderly conduct and obstructing a highway after deputies responded to a report that he was standing in the middle of the road and yelling at people. He had reportedly been warned 54 times and arrested twice during the past two years for the same behavior.

Saturday, June 9

12:16 p.m.: A man was cited on suspicion of violating the fire ban in the 23000 block of County Road F.5 after he reportedly burned a 10 by 20-foot area in his backyard. He told deputies he was trying to burn sticker weeds and didn’t know about the fire ban.

7:48 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 5000 block of County Road 24.5 on a warrant for failure to comply on a DUI and unlawful use of a controlled substance charge. When a deputy approached him, he was reportedly carrying a knife in a sheath on his waist and refused to comply with requests to turn around and put his hands behind his back, until the deputy threatened him with a stun gun. During his transport to the jail, he reportedly moved his wrists inside the handcuffs in a way that caused a laceration on one wrist.

Monday, June 11

8:32 a.m.: A woman was cited on suspicion of violating the fire ban in the 23000 block of County Road 10. She reportedly told deputies she was trying to burn a few weeds, and although she was aware of the fire ban, she “didn’t think it would be a big deal.” The Pleasant View Fire Department put out the fire.

9:43 a.m.: A woman was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.

11:18 a.m.: Deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol in an investigation at the Cortez Port of Entry, 24125 County Road G, where someone had turned in a syringe containing an unknown liquid, which he said he found in the parking lot. Deputies and troopers searched the area but did not find any other suspicious materials.

4:06 p.m.: A woman was arrested on a local felony warrant in the 14000 block of County Road 27.

6:13 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of identity theft in the 27000 block of County Road T.5. A couple said they received three iPhone Xs in the mail with their names and addresses on the packaging, but they had not ordered the phones or been billed for them. The case remains under investigation.

Tuesday, June 12

1:19 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
