Montezuma-Cortez High School and Dolores High School ended the season at their respective regional tournaments Saturday.
M-CHS (10-15) lost 3-0 to Mesa Ridge and 3-0 (15-25, 12-25, 15-25) to No. 2-ranked 4A Lewis-Palmer. The Monument school won the tourney on its home floor to advance to state.
San Juan Basin League regular season champion Dolores (17-7) lost in straight sets to 2A regional host Vail Mountain (23-25, 22-25, 17-25) and to tourney winner Paonia, 3-0 (17-25, 19-25, 22-25).
