Saturday, May 26

2:24 p.m.: A man was arrested at City Market, 508 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating bond conditions after police responded to a report that he was causing a disturbance in the parking lot. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

2:25 p.m.: A female employee was arrested at Wendy’s, 221 E. Main St., on suspicion of assault and obstructing government operations after another employee reported she punched her during an argument about following store rules. The alleged victim was treated at the hospital for bruises on her face and an injured wrist. The suspect reportedly gave a false name to police and left the scene. When they confronted her, she reportedly yelled at them and resisted being handcuffed. Officers forced her to the ground, ripping out one of her earrings in the process. She was treated at Southwest Memorial Hospital for the ear injury.

4 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on a municipal warrant for failure to appear and on suspicion of violating bond conditions after police requested an ambulance to transport him to the hospital for severe intoxication. After being released from the hospital, he reportedly drank a bottle of vanilla extract just before police arrested him.

8:52 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 400 block of West Seventh Street on suspicion of violating municipal bond conditions after his former employer reported he had threatened her after she refused to give his job back. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

Sunday, May 27

9:40 a.m.: A woman was arrested outside City Market, 508 E. Main St., on a warrant for failure to appear and on suspicion of speeding.

3:33 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 1300 block of South Cedar Street on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. A container of marijuana and a pipe with marijuana residue were found in his backpack.

6:07 p.m.: A man was arrested outside KFC, 2222 E. Main St., on suspicion of assault and obstruction after police responded to a fight between him and several other people. He reportedly charged one of the police officers and led them on a short foot pursuit, which ended when one officer tackled him. A witness reported the suspect had hit him, causing a swollen lip, and had scratched him when he tried to put him in a headlock. The suspect was treated for injuries sustained during his fight with police.

8:03 p.m.: A man was arrested at Conoco, 302 W. Main St., on a San Juan County, New Mexico, felony warrant after police responded to a report of a disturbance. He reportedly gave a false name at first.

11:24 p.m.: A man was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating municipal bond conditions after police performed a welfare check on him. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

Monday, May 28

10:45 a.m.: A woman was arrested in City Park, 802 E. Main St., on suspicion of an open container violation and possession of alcohol in the park. A man who was with her was cited for the same violations, as well as violating municipal bond conditions, but police decided not to arrest him because he was being cooperative. The woman reportedly said she would not go to court or sign the summons. She also refused medical treatment at the hospital, where she was taken for a clearance due to intoxication.

11:59 a.m.: A man and a woman were arrested outside Walmart, 1835 E. Main St., after they were pulled over for speeding and failing to comply with seatbelt laws. The man was arrested on a municipal warrant and on suspicion of violating bond conditions, and the woman was arrested on a municipal warrant and suspicion of DUI and violating bond conditions. She was also charged with assault after a Taco Bell employee reported she had spit on her earlier in the day.

2:14 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 1500 block of Montelores Avenue on a La Plata County warrant for failure to appear.

10:03 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 1200 block of East Montezuma Avenue on a warrant for failure to appear and on suspicion of violating a protection order and municipal bond conditions. During the arrest process, he reportedly tried to kick and bite the police officers and spat at them, leading them to put a spit hood over his head. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

Tuesday, May 29

2:23 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of South Madison Street on a warrant for failure to appear after police responded to a complaint about loud music coming from his vehicle. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

2:39 a.m.: A man was arrested at Best Western Motel, 535 E. Main St., on suspicion of violating bond conditions after motel staff reported he was intoxicated and refusing to leave. He was medically cleared due to intoxication.

6:40 a.m.: Police responded to a report of vandalism at the Cortez Cab office, 108 S. Chestnut St. An employee reported two windows had been broken with a rock, causing $200-$300 in damage, sometime after 10:30 p.m. the previous day. The case remains under investigation.

9:53 p.m.: A man was arrested in Centennial Park, 800 E. Montezuma Ave., on a municipal warrant and on suspicion of violating bond conditions, an open container violation and possession of alcohol in the park. He was medically cleared due to severe intoxication after a portable breath test was unable to measure his breath’s alcohol content because it was too high.
