Thank you for another great season at the Cortez Farmers Market! Every one of us appreciates your patronage and sincerely thank you for your help in making this a very successful year. We have come a long way in the last forty years and that would not be possible without our patrons, vendors, musicians, friends, and supporters in the community.

A special note of thanks to Montezuma County for allowing us to use the parking lot every Saturday; Farmers’ Telephone for sponsoring the “Community Booth”; friends Jodie, Kathleen, Ann, Alan, and Carol for helping out every week; the Web Master, Connie, for all her work on cortezfarmmarket.com and our Facebook page; the Cortez Retail Enhancement Association for the $500 grant; committee members Barbara, Dave, Laurie, Lew, and Matt for all the time spent getting us organized; Colorado State University Extension office staff Tom and Cheryl for their consistent help and unswerving support; KSJD for the weekly market report broadcasts; the Cortez Library, especially Laura, for the children’s storytime; Michelle for setting up the music and the musicians for their exhilarating performances; our treasurer, Rosie, for keeping all the finances straight, all of the generous Friends of the Market who come through for us year after year, and last, but hardly least, our customers, who come by every week to partake of all we have to offer.

I’d also like to personally thank everyone who works for the county for parking the fleet cars out of our way every Friday for the weekend, and all of you who reacted with understanding and grace when told your dogs weren’t allowed in the market area.

It takes a community committed to buying local to support a growing farmers market and we are all happy to be a part of this wonderful community. With your help we will continue to “grow” and furnish our community with the very best we can produce right here in our own backyards! See you the first Saturday of June.

Sincerely,
Theresa Titone

Market Manager
