As the campaign season comes to a close, the opportunity to voice an opinion on 3B also comes to an end. As a parent of two young children, I feel that our investment of $936 over a 20-year period could not be wiser spent. The current high school is out of date. How much more behind the technological curve will that school be in 11 years when my youngest steps through those doors?
In order to attract businesses, families and educators to our community, we need a facility that shows that we value education. While a new building will not fix all the issues in the school district, in my opinion, it is a step in the right direction.
