In order to prepare our students for the future, we must provide them with the tools they will use in the future. The new high school will provide 21st century learning by utilizing the technology our future students will need to be familiar with. We have online banking, online dating, online purchases, online doctors, online college. We want our students here in Cortez to not only be familiar with these programs, but to be able to design them and to make them better. Our children have to think and learn using the tools of the 21st century in order to keep up with the global society.
I want my children and my communitys children to have the best available school, technology, and teachers. I truly believe building a new facility with 21st century technology will enhance learning, will keep teachers in Cortez and bring new teachers to our community, and really will motivate students to stay in school. I will vote yes on 3B knowing I am voting yes to a better future for my children and my students.
