Help the Girl Scouts of Colorado honor past and current members of the military. Girl Scouts of Colorado will be marching in the Veterans Day parade on Monday, Nov. 12. All Girl Scout Troops in the area are invited to join and show community pride and spirit. Former Girl Scouts are also invited to take part. This is the 100-year celebration for the Girl Scouts and the participating Scouts would be honored if any women veterans joined them in the parade. The theme for the parade this year is With Gratitude. Current Girl Scouts should wear the uniform and alumni Girl Scout should wear green to show solidarity.  Parade line-up begins at noon at the County Annex at the corner of Montezuma Avenue and Elm Street. The parade will start at 1 p.m. and will end at Montezuma Avenue and North Harrison (close to the City Market parking lot). For more information, contact Troop Leader Dena Thomason at 570-7420.
