Bishop to speak at St. Philip Anglican Church



Special guest speaker Terrance Kelshaw will preach at the morning worship hour at the Anglican Church of St. Philip the Evangelist at 700 S. Market in Cortez on Sunday, Oct. 28. Bishop Kelshaw, a native of England, ordained in the Anglican Church of England, has had an active and fruitful ministry from his early years of parish ministry, to his move to the United States, his teachings years at Trinity Seminary, and his elevation to the ministry position of bishop. Bishop Kelshaw has a great concern for the health and growth of the local church and is dedicated to seeing the kingdom of God on earth expand and become all that Christ intended for the church to be.

Bishop Kelshaw is a very engaging preacher-teacher who will encourage your faith. Morning worship begins at 10:45 a.m. and will be followed by a finger-food snack and get acquainted time. For additional information call 565-1555 or Pastor Carl Brenner in Farmington, 505-608-4060.




Hallelujah Night at First Assembly of God



There will be a Hallelujah Night at First Assembly of God in Cortez, 120 S. Linden St. on Wednesday, Oct.. 31 from 6-7 p.m. Bring the family out for a fun and safe Halloween-alternative. Food, games, prizes, candy and lots of fun for everyone. There will also be a Bible-character costume contest. For more information, call 565-3043.




Methodist Church potluck, change in schedule



There will be a change in schedule from the normal routine at the Cortez First United Methodist Church on Sunday, Nov. 4. Instead of the regular services, there will be one worship service at 10 a.m. A potluck will be held in Hampton Hall directly following the service. Everyone is invited.
