Tuesday, May 8

9:14 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of employee theft at Giant Gas Station, 501 Railroad Ave., totaling less than $50.

3:23 p.m.: A man was arrested in Vista Verde Village, Cortez, on suspicion of child abuse and two protection order violations after his baby was found injured during a verbal disturbance call. He said he dropped the baby.

Wednesday, May 9

9:42 a.m.: A person was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant for failure to appear.

11:41 a.m.: A woman was arrested at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., on a warrant for failure to comply.

12:42 p.m.: A man was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

7:17 p.m.: A deputy killed an injured deer in the 26000 block of Colorado Highway 184.

Thursday, May 10

9:31 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of fraud at Montezuma County Fleet, 1680 N. Dolores Road. The case was handed over to the Montrose Police Department for follow-up.

11:46 a.m.: Deputies went to a fire on County Road G. A property owner was reportedly burning weeds and tried to put the fire out with his tractor. The tractor was destroyed and about an acre was burned.

2:09 p.m.: A man was served two warrants at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

3:37 p.m.: A man was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

4:06 p.m.: A woman was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

11:17 p.m.: A man turned himself in at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant.

Friday, May 11

7 a.m.: Two people were arrested during a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of North 15th Street, Dolores. One person was arrested on a warrant; the other was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor assault.

3:21 p.m.: A woman went to the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St., to report that her telephone cable had been cut by a neighbor.

Sunday, May 13

8 p.m.: Deputies responded to a traffic accident on County Road 42. Five juveniles were reportedly riding a four-wheeler when a passenger’s foot went under a tire. The juvenile was taken to Southwest Memorial Hospital.

10:03 p.m.: A man was cited on suspicion of disorderly conduct after yelling obscenities at his neighbor on County Road 25.

Monday, May 14

12:14 a.m.: A person surrendered at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

Wednesday, May 16

9:02 a.m.: A man was served a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
