I am in great hopes that the community and businesses rally around the Cortez Cultural Center in its time of need and donate any amount of money to continue the great work it provides to the community and visitors from all over the world.
I moved to Cortez two years ago knowing only two people here. I wanted to meet people, so I went to one of the centers events and met a wonderful couple, the Smiths, and was urged to become a volunteer at the center in order to learn about the area and meet local people. I have learned so much and met so many people, it is unreal.
It is amazing to have such a venue here and the things that it offers to all ages and interests of the public. I feel it is a vital part of this city and truly feel it would be a great loss if this venue has to close. Your help is needed, please help.
