On April 24, a group of Great Old Broads began our season of sponsorship of Maverick Trail weed control. Bonnie Loving was there with her expertise, shovels and encouragement. This early in the season, mullein was our primary target.
I noticed that a lot of work had already been done to the trail itself; the mountain bicyclist crew did a great job of reshaping narrow trails and digging water runoff channels.
