I have been reading a lot about 3B. I am undecided about this proposal, so I am not writing this letter to influence anyone’s decision. No one has the right to influence another voters’ choice; each person must be informed and make his or her own choice.

But I must ask this. If taxpayers are being asked to spend $20 million on a new high school, they should expect something in return, besides better-educated students. When these students graduate, there is no reason for them to stay here, so some other community will benefit from their education. I also must ask this: What is going to happen to the old high school when a new one is built?

It is also my understanding that if Amendment 64 passes, there will be over $100 million dollars in tax revenue for educational purposes, and a “yes” on 64 would free up law enforcement to go after serious criminals.

Voting is not for the uninformed. You must educate yourself and use common sense when you vote on all of these proposals, and most important of all, make bipartisan choices.
