An apology to the county clerk

Have you ever had one of those days where you can’t get a word in edgewise between the crow and foot that is in your mouth?

Some time ago I wrote a letter to the editor complaining about having to wait in line at the county clerk’s office because they did not offer online renewal. I was hasty and did not thoroughly do my homework before putting “words to paper.”

I have since learned that the Montezuma County Clerk has been in the process of bringing the online ability to our county for a long time. The wheels of government move very slowly and our clerk has been diligently jumping through and over the myriad of hoops and obstacles in her way to “get ’er done.”

I would like to apologize to the Montezuma county clerk and her entire staff. You do a wonderful job and it is always pleasurable to visit the offices.
