Thanks to the Journal for reporting on the deficiencies in health practices at our local restaurants.
I stopped dining out months ago and noticed that occurrences of “unexplained” gastrointestinal problems disappeared immediately. Not hard to understand after reading of the documented violations. I’ve learned to enjoy eating food prepared in my own kitchen, where basic practices are observed: hand-washing, sanitation, refrigeration, basic little things.
I guess out in the public world, the rule is, “Ya pays yer money and ya takes yer chances.” The good thing is, during tourist season, people move down the road quickly, and get sick elsewhere!
