Mancos cross country had a meet in Cortez on Saturday. Runners came from Durango, Cortez, Dolores, Monticello, Blanding, Kirtland, Bayfield, Delta, Pagosa Springs, and Tuba City. The course was a challenging 2.2 miles.

Out of 112 girls, Emma Most finished 12th, Hannah Skinner was 35th, and Jessalyn Bay-Voit was 57th. There were 110 boys running and Kole Romero-Keller was 46th, Jake McKie was 48th, and Bryce Baumgarten finished 55th. The meet in Cortez is always a significant challenge, especially when Tuba City shows up, but runners shaved several minutes off of last years time.

Well done, middle school cross country, and good luck at your regional meet in Monte Vista this Friday!
