To date, the National Rifle Association has contributed nearly $4 million to Sen. Cory Gardner, R-Colo., in his last elections.
Rep. Scott Tipton, R-Colo., received $3,500 in the 2016 election. Both have voted for the weakening of gun laws.
President Donald Trump repealed a bill requiring a check before mentally ill individuals are allowed to purchase a gun. The Republicans cut funding for the mentally ill, and Scott and Cory are on board.
Cory’s comment sending thoughts and prayers to the children who were shot in Florida is a slap in the face to us all. We must prevent those who should not own guns from having them.
Cory and Scott do not reflect our values. I am a fourth-generation Coloradan and proud of our state. Vote them out.
