Mountain Daylight Time: Plastic bags

A potential City Council ordinance requiring a nominal fee for each new plastic bag used by consumers at supermarkets and other local stores would have the effect of encouraging shoppers to bring their own reusable shopping bags with them while they shop. In theory, the result would be less litter and less nonbiodegradable waste in the environment, which has been shown to be not only unsightly, but a proven and possibly fatal hazard to wildlife.
