Kathy Sehnert leads a cathedral window quilt block workshop at the Mancos Public Library on Tuesday, June 16. The blocks make beautiful pillows. The Dolores Mountain Quilters offered the workshop. They meet at 10:00 am the first Tuesday of every month at the Dolores Community Center. There are over a hundred members in the group, and they welcome beginners.

Throughout the year the quilters sew lap quilts for senior nursing homes, baby quilts for the Child Advocacy Center, quilts for the area elderly, veterans projects and holiday stockings for children in need. They also host a biennial quilt show in August which includes a quilt competition and raffle.
