Sunday, Jan. 28

3:31 p.m.: A man was issued a summons on suspicion of violating a protection order in City Park, 802 E. Main St. After transporting him to Southwest Memorial Hospital for medical clearance, they learned from staff that he could be suffering a drug overdose. He was left with medical personnel for treatment.

4:28 p.m.: A man was issued a summons on suspicion of shoplifting at Safeway, 1580 E. Main St., after store employees reported he had stolen two cases of beer valued at $35.98 total, and had driven off on one of the store’s scooters. The scooter was returned.

1:24 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 500 block of East Second Street on suspicion of violating bond conditions after police responded to a report of an intoxicated pedestrian yelling at vehicles. The man was lying face down in a yard when police contacted him. He was cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to intoxication.

Monday, Jan. 29

12:12 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 10 block of North Roger Smith Avenue on suspicion of driving under restraint as a habitual traffic offender.

5:54 p.m.: A man was issued a summons on suspicion of trespassing at City Market, 508 E. Main St., after police responded to a report that he was requesting an ambulance. He was transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital, but reportedly refused to see a doctor. Police gave him a courtesy ride to an apartment complex in Cortez.

8:57 p.m.: A woman turned herself into the Cortez Police Department, 608 N. Park St., and was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor.
