Drop Top Lincoln will be performing at the Sugar Pine Ranch Rally on Thursday evening at 5 p.m. They formed in 2009 with lead guitarist Casey Smart and bassist Chris Howard. A new sound quickly developed using high octane guitar riffs over solid country/blues bass. Drummer Jack Chipchase soon joined the project and the foundation was in place. With a very distinct sound in mind, vocalist Scotty Waters was the last piece added to form the final roster.

Drop Top Lincoln has a style that has been labeled everything from garage country to electric hillbilly; with comparisons to acts such as Cross Canadian Ragweed and Shooter Jennings. We prefer the label, Gutterbilly.

What is “Gutterbilly”? Drop Top Lincoln is gutterbilly. It’s playng a Danelectro guitar with a beer bottle. It’s using a rusty skillet as a percussion instrument. It’s love songs about cars, and strippers ... and beer. Drop Top Lincoln’s brand of gutterbilly is the moonshine of music: its smooth, powerful, and high alcohol content.

THE 74TH STREET BAND, who will play on Friday night, is the unification of three lifelong friends who have been making music together for over three decades. Randy Clark, Robert Pettycrew and James “Louie” Lewis grew up together in the 74th St. area of Phoenix, Ariz. Each an accomplished musician in his own right, as a team they provide a unique blend of rock and blues to fans across the valley. With the addition of a rhythm section consisting of bassist Lyle Engle and drummer Matt O’Brien, 74th Street produces raw, hard driving, classic and southern rock and roll which audiences love to hear. 74th Street’s song list includes a mix of cover songs from the 1960’s through today and blends them with a mix of danceable original tunes. 74th Street is in high demand in Arizona and throughout the entire southwest.

THE UNDERCOVER GIRLS is a dynamic group of five women who will bring the house to its feet with their electrifying live sound and stadium-caliber performance. They cover a wide range of groups such as The Rolling Stones, Heart, Aerosmith, Pat Benatar, Steppenwolf, Nirvana, Paul McCartney & Wings, Cheap Trick, Jimmi Hendrix, Foghat, The Doobie Bros., Three Dog Night, The Go-Go’s, Prince, Bon Jovi & Van Halen.

THE DUKE CITY SAINTS plays Saturday afternoon at the Rally. They have no trouble rising to the top with their high-energy blend of soulful, groove-based rock-n-roll. Cholck full of attitude, the Saints promise a no-holds-barred, down-and-dirty, dance-on-the-tables-and-stomp-your-feet rock, funk and soul spectacle ... and they deliver in spades.

The Saints are adding an arsenal of new songs, guaranteed to get even the most jaded music listeners onto the dance floor. Rumor has it that they are also hard at work on a new EP of soul-moving, hook-laden, rocket-fueled original music set to debut later this spring.

FLEETWOOD NICKS (formerly WildHeart) performs at 5:30 on Saturday and is one of the nation’s most authentic tribute bands, performing the timeless music of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. Fleetwood Nicks’ focus is on capturing the essence of Fleetwood Mac /Stevie Nicks in their prime — staying true to the original studio recordings that made Fleetwood Mac one of the biggest bands in history.

Fleetwood Nicks brings an incredible recreation of Fleetwood Mac’s legendary sound to the stage with a rock concert like no other — performing hits from the Rumours album through Fleetwood Mac’s famous reunion “Dance” tour. “The Chain”, “Go Your Own Way”, “Gold Dust Woman”, “Dreams”, “Little Lies”, “Landslide” are just a handful of the classics you’ll hear-- as well as concert favorites such as Buckingham’s signature encore “I’m So Afraid” and Stevie’s haunting “Sisters of the Moon.”

TURN THE PAGE will be the 9 p.m. Saturday night band and they actually came about as a side project for their original Southern Rock band, “The Sam Morrison Band”. They needed to add a few Southern/Classic Rock cover songs, played a couple of Bob Seger tunes and the response they got was UNBELIEVABLE!

No matter where they would perform, they constantly received requests to do more and more Bob Seger. They decided to add a keyboard player, two female back-up singers and a saxophone player in order to fully re-create the Bob Seger Live experience.

“It’s amazing to see how today’s younger generation are discovering the classic rock bands we grew up with. Everywhere you look you see Jr. High aged kids wearing Led Zepplin and AC/DC T-Shirts. The new Guitar Hero video game is fueling the fire even more. The new TV spot for Guitar Hero features Bob Seger’s song “Old Time Rock and Roll” and we’re seeing the kids go crazier than the adults when we play that one!”

HEART ALIVE plays Sunday night at 9. They are the nation’s most authentic tribute to the legendary rock band Heart, performing hits from their Dreamboat Annie album to Desire Walks On. HEART ALIVE was recently awarded “Best Tribute 2011” by Vegas Rocks Magazine--sharing the award stage with artists such as Sebastian Bach, Vince Neil, and Steve Stevens.

Capturing Ann Wilson’s power, range and pitch perfect vocals is Valerie James, Heart Alive’s “Ann Wilson”...with Julie Torchin on guitar and vocals as “Nancy Wilson”. Both women are huge fans of Heart and have poured their passion into their performance. HEART ALIVE’S seasoned musicians Dave Davis (lead guitar/vocals), Brad Torchin (lead guitar/vocals), Todd Rogers (keys/vocals), Aaron Olson (drums) and Danny Buss (bass) have come together to touch hearts of all ages--bringing back memories and sounds that defined a generation.
