A truther, not a hater

“For the Bible Tells Me So” turned my stomach. That may be graphic, but that was my response. I want to know which Bible tells them so. Clever ruse to take a sweet old children’s song and twist it so violently. How can anyone discount 2,000 years of biblical scholarship? Why does anyone want to discount 2,000 years of scholarship. (I have some thoughts on that.) If the Bible has been wrong for 2,000 years, why did it take so long for scholars to figure it out? Maybe the Apostle Paul’s statement applies to these modern twisters of the truth: “... having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof ... always learning and never able to come to the truth.” (2 Tim. 3:5,7) The original truth offended some 2,000 years ago and offends deniers today.

And “Can the love between two people ever be an abomination?” No! But how it is expressed can be. One word to describe the improper expression of love between two people is called incest. When is that going to be justified? Will the next step be to justify murder, robbery, child abuse and adultery? These are popular; maybe they should be next. Where does false justification stop?’

Please don’t call me a hater because I disagree with you. Are you a hater because you disagree with me? I am a truther. The truth will set you free, even if it hurts in the process. Please do not twist the Bible and try to make it say something it does not say. I may not be politically correct, but I would bet my life that I am biblically correct and approved in God’s eyes.
