Maintenance crews with the city of Cortez are conducting emergency repairs on a broken water pipe at the intersection of Main and Harrison streets.
The repair could take much of the week to complete, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
CDOT urged drivers to be aware of workers and machinery at the intersection and to obey signage and flaggers directing traffic.
