There will be a benefit for Steve Springer on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 4p.m. to 12 a.m. at the American Legion, 320 N. Harrison, in Cortez. Steve Springer was the victim of a motorcycle/car accident on May 2.All proceeds will go to Steve Springer to help him in overcoming these life-changing challenges, including use of a wheelchair, house renovations, transportation and other daily expenses.
Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for kids under 13 years, and includes dinner at 5p.m. and an auction at 6p.m., with bands to follow. The featured bands are Rockslide and Billy Cooper. Families are invited to attend. For more information, contact Lisa Springer at 560-5442.
