The school-age kids at Trinity Preschool held a bake sale on Thursday, July 26. The money raised was used to buy supplies for the Cortez Animal Shelter. The sale earned $93 and the students went to Walmart on Friday, July 27 and purchased items to deliver to the shelter, including dog food, cat food, puppy and kitten food, cat and dog treats and bleach. Pictured are Megan Butler, Trinity Newell, Leilani Vigil, Ilaria Sanchez, Jezzy Dorton, Morgan Waggoner, Ms. Leah Greenlee (teacher), James McCabe, and Kyler Acree. Baked goods for the sale were donated by many Trinity families and staff. Thanks to these kids, those that donated the baked goodies to sell, and the many drivers passing by that stopped to support the sale, the animals at the Cortez Shelter will have food and get to enjoy some much-needed treats.
