The Mildred Friendship Club, which was organized in the early 1930s to help families within the community, is proud to announce this year’s scholarship recipient is Jesse Hager. Jesse is the son of Rodney and Deb Hager of Dolores.

Jesse is a 2012 graduate of Dolores High School and has also been attending Pueblo Community College to obtain a degree in Computer Information Systems. Jesse has been a member of the Barnyard Critters 4-H Club for over 10 years and has actively participated in community service projects, fundraising events and has held the office of President for the last three years. Jesse has demonstrated his leadership skills by working with younger members, guiding them through woodworking projects and Parliamentary Procedures.

The Mildred Friendship Club will continue to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior from Dolores High School next year. They look forward to assisting the young people of the community in the goal of furthering their education.
