The Four Corners Community Band wants to thank the Town of Rico and residents for their support of the Band during the parade and concert following at Jones Park on the Fourth of July. A special thank you to those who helped us once again travel down Glasgow Avenue: Tom Fleming of Rico and Montrose, Colo., for generous use of his trailer; Mike Schorey of Rico and Happy Jack, Ariz., and Michael Lesum of Rico and Tucson, Ariz., for roping and side supports for the trailer; Dick Lanning for chair detail; Larry and Susie Steele for the use of their pickup for the trailer; and Gary Showers of Rico and Kirkland, N.M., for the smooth ride through the parade with nary a bump.
It is always a pleasure for the Band to play in Rico for their parade and we hope to make many more journeys to the beautiful San Juans to visit our Rico friends and share their celebrations of the Fourth of July.
