Cortez art shops Home & Range and Clementine Design Studio will hold a joint open house on Friday to benefit the Montezuma Land Conservancy.

Rosie Carter, who owns Home & Range, will debut a hand-drawn map she made for the Conservancy during the open house. Ten percent of sales from both studios from 5 to 9 p.m. will go to the organization, which helps Montezuma County landowners acquire conservation easements to preserve their land. The studio will offer refreshments and door prizes. The Conservancy will give high-quality reproductions of the map to members at the $125 level or above through March 31.

Carter has sold hand-made household items through her Cortez-based business since 2014, but her retail shop and gallery have been open only since May. A wide variety of products designed by her and other Four Corners’ artists are on display. Clementine Studio is owned by Carter’s fellow artist, Shari Hirsch.

The open house is from 5 to 9 p.m. at 2409 and 2413 E. Empire St., Cortez. For more information, contact Carter at 970-739-8997 or rosie@homeandrange.com.
