Montezuma Titans football registrations
Registrations for the Montezuma Titans, of the Youth American Football League, will be held on Saturday and Saturday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Cortez Public Library. This is for kids second- through-sixth-grade interested in playing tackle football. Registration fee is $85 with an additional $40 game jersey fee for sixth-grade players. Practice begins Wednesday, Aug. 1. The Montezuma Titans game schedule includes a minimum of seven games against Bayfield, Durango and Pagosa Springs; and, New Mexicos, Aztec, Bloomfield, Farmington, Kirtland, Shiprock and Dulce. Ute Mountain strongman competition
The second annual Ute Mountain Recreation Center, strongman competition, is set for Saturday at the Ute Mountain Rec. Center parking lot in Towaoc. Its a $10 entry fee, one open division and five competitions for men and women. The top score wins it all, which is a trophy, cash prize and dinner. Call Rob or Nick at 564-5360 for more information.
Knocker Softball Rendezvous
Knocker Athletic Club is hosting the Knocker Softball Rendezvous in Dolores this weekend. Its a coed bracket and a mens wood bat bracket. Wood bats and .52 COR balls are provided, but people can swing their own bats. Its a three-game guarantee. Tourney entry fee is $200. Awards are based on number of teams. Winners receive 14 Champion Dri-Fit shirts. Entry deadline is 6 p.m., Thursday. To register your team, call Charles See at 560-3423.
Dolores Middle School football camp

Cortez Rec. Center coedsoftball
The City of Cortez Parks and Recreation department is now registering for coed softball. Theseason begins Tuesday, Aug. 14, and will continue on Tuesday nights. Tri-City Soccer registrations
Tri-City Soccer is currently taking registrations for the 2012-2013 seasons through Saturday, July 21. Register now to guarantee a spot for your child.
