Blaming environmentalists is a common theme

What kind of sick puppy gets a thrill out of “seeing a large cumulus cloud above a large fire plume like the fire east of Mancos” and enjoys watching it? I’ve read some of the sick diatribes of John M. Hopkins in previous letters to the editor, but this one tops them all!

He blames environmentalists for making the forests more combustible, closing roads to vehicular travel, wood cutting, mineral exploration, etc. None of these things contributed to this fire or to the efforts to mitigate the situation. More than likely, this fire was caused by some idiot’s cigarette butt carelessly tossed out the window.

Blaming environmentalists seems to be a common theme among those who have no respect for God’s creations and for mankind’s duty of stewardship. Flooding in some areas and extreme droughts in others is exactly what the global warming climatologists predicted. Face the music climate deniers. Pushing the CO2 levels beyond 350 ppm is what’s really killing the planet.
