I just want to share some thoughts and feelings and offer support to the family of Judd Suckla.
If you measured the wealth of a man by the amount of friends he has, James Judd Justin Suckla would be among the wealthiest men to have ever lived. All one has to do is look at the condolences posted with his obituary at the Ertel Funeral Home site, not to mention the amount of people that gathered at the Cortez Livestock Auction for his services on Friday, June 22. In his short life on this earth, Judd lived in a big way to have touched so many lives. If all the tears shed for the passing of this awesome young man could be turned to rain, I think the drought would be over and folks would be looking at a flood right now.
Having lived as a neighbor to the Suckla family when Judd was growing up and having been best friends with his sister, Kelly, I feel like I not only lost a friend, but a little brother as well. He could be ornery as the day is long, but he had a kind, loving soul and a million dollar smile on his face. If there is one thing I could say to all Judds family and friends it would be that he loved and he was loved in a grand way.
You will be missed for now, pardner, but we have eternity with you to look forward to. May we all find comfort in knowing God will reunite us all again someday. Meanwhile, cherish your memories and be proud of the role you played in Judds life.
