At the least, commissioners owe apology

“Fake News” (Journal, Oct. 18) from our Montezuma County Commissioners?

Really? Can’t they just pick up the phone or walk into the offices of the Colorado State University Extension employees (there are only two) and discuss their issues with them?

Do the three commissioners need to stoop to national political means to intimidate these employees? Is this their management style? Is this how they work with other Montezuma County employees?

We can only hope not!

Based upon Commissioner Suckla’s admission of generating “fake news” regarding defunding the CSU Extension office’s money, all three commissioners had to have been in on this ploy. With that said, all three should immediately resign their offices as this is not what they were elected to do, and they have no business representing their constituents in this manner.

And, they owe the public an apology for their juvenile actions. They should be embarrassed and ashamed!
