San Juan Forest has several temporary positions

The San Juan National Forest is looking to fill temporary fire positions for the 2018 season including jobs on engine, helitack, hand and hotshot crews; fire-use modules; as fire lookouts; and at the Durango Air Tanker Base and Durango Interagency Dispatch Center.

The jobs may not exceed six months and will be based in Dolores, Bayfield, Durango, and Pagosa Springs.

Applicants must apply to the specific vacancy announcements that will be posted on http://www.usajobs.gov/. Job announcements will open on Dec. 15 and close on Dec. 21. Applications must be posted in USAJOBS no later than midnight, Dec. 21 to be considered. Applicants are encouraged to update their profiles and resumes within USAJOBS every 60 days to ensure their application remains active. Candidates will be considered for positions within the commuting area of the duty locations they have selected.
