Tuesday, Oct. 24
1:14 a.m.: A woman was arrested at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on a Cortez Police Department warrant for contempt of court.
2:22 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a break-in in the 13000 block of Colorado Highway 145, Dolores. A woman claimed someone was trying to enter her residence through the back door. Responding deputies found another woman unconscious on the back porch of the residence, apparently highly intoxicated from what deputies believed to be marijuana. The homeowner said she did not want to press charges, and deputies gave the woman a ride to Southwest Memorial Hospital for treatment.
5:04 p.m.: Deputies delivered a writ of restitution to a trailer in the 1400 block of North Mildred Road which was occupied by a woman who was arrested for DUI the previous day. The landlord changed the locks and said she would allow the tenant to collect her belongings later.
10:31 p.m.: A woman was arrested in Montezuma County on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence after her husband claimed she had kicked and punched him. The woman reportedly said her husband must have given the injuries to himself in order to get her in trouble.
10:31 p.m.: A man was issued a summons in the 24000 block of County Road G.2 on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
Wednesday, Oct. 25
1:30 a.m.: A woman was issued a summons in the 2000 block of U.S. Highway 160 on suspicion of DUI and failing to use a turn signal.
11:58 a.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant in the 24000 block of County Road L.
2:04 p.m.: A man turned himself in at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply.
6:08 p.m.: A man was served with a warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
8:13 p.m.: A woman was issued a summons in the 24000 block of U.S. Highway 160 on suspicion of failing to keep a dog under control after a neighbor claimed her dog had attacked his turkey, causing bite wounds.
Thursday, Oct. 26
1:21 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 330000 block of U.S. Highway 160 on suspicion of DUI and driving in the passing lane. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to severe intoxication. Deputies requested an additional charge for introduction of paraphernalia after they found a small bag with cocaine residue in the man’s wallet.
11:24 a.m.: A woman was served with a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
9:58 p.m.: A woman was issued a summons in the 23000 block of County Road T, Lewis, on suspicion of failing to keep a dog under control after a neighbor claimed her dog had repeatedly attacked the neighbor’s dog.
11:43 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 17000 block of County Road N.5, Lewis, on suspicion of DUI after deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity in the area. Another man claimed the suspect had been driving around his residence repeatedly in a way that seemed suspicious. The suspect reportedly said he was homeless and often looked for abandoned houses to live in.
Friday, Oct. 27
1:12 p.m.: A man was arrested outside Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., on two Colorado State Patrol warrants for failure to appear and failure to comply.
Saturday, Oct. 28
9:51 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of an injured deer near the intersection of County Road 30 and Colorado Highway 184. A responding deputy killed the deer with one shot from his sidearm.
10:15 a.m.: A woman was served with a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll Ave.
Monday, Oct. 30
12:12 a.m.: A woman was arrested in the 37000 block of U.S. Highway 160, Mancos, on suspicion of third-degree assault after her mother claimed she had punched her several times in the face and put her in a headlock.
11:31 p.m.: Deputies responded to a possible suicide threat in Montezuma County. A woman reported her juvenile son had been trying to cut his wrist with a tack. Deputies transported the juvenile to Southwest Memorial Hospital, where he was evaluated by Axis Health System staff. The staff reportedly released the juvenile after saying he was not an immediate danger to himself.
Tuesday, Oct. 31
2:14 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of vandalism at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, 302 Central Ave., Dolores. The store owner claimed that a man had egged the building the previous night, but deputies were unable to identify the man from security footage. The case remains under investigation.
7:19 p.m.: A man was served with a Cortez Police Department warrant for failure to comply at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
8:27 p.m.: A woman was served with a warrant for failure to appear on several traffic infractions at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
9:44 p.m.: A juvenile was issued a summons in the 500 block of Railroad Avenue, Dolores, on suspicion of DUI and prohibited use of a weapon. A shotgun was reportedly found in his possession when he was contacted.
