The 2016 Parade of Lights starts with the grand marshal, The 40s Bunch.
Festivities started early at the Cortez Cultural Center with a performance by the MCHS choir.

Downtown businesses geared up for the 27th annual Parade of Lights on Main Street, providing coffee, hot chocolate, treats and cheer to a large crowd that braved the cold.

Last year, hundreds attended what parade organizer Terry McCabe, of sponsor Four Corners Board of Realtors, said was “the best parade ever,” despite temperatures in the mid-30s. She's hoping for a similar turnout this year, as temperatures dropped into the 20s.

Reporter Stephanie Alderton is tweeting live from the parade, and will follow-up with a full story.
