Love on a Hanger will host its seventh annual “Pretty in Pink” fashion show on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Four Seasons Greenhouse and Nursery.

Tickets start at $20 for general admission and $30 for VIP (front row) seating. Tickets may be purchased at Love on a Hanger, West View Day Spa, online or at the door.

The fashion show donates 100 percent of the proceeds to the Cancer Resource Alliance, formerly known as the Women’s Cancer Coalition.

The Cancer Resource Alliance is a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to residents of Montezuma and Dolores counties with a recent cancer diagnosis, according to a news release from Tiffani Waters, owner of Love on a Hanger. Waters also is president of the Cancer Resource Alliance, according to the nonprofit’s secretary and founding member, Sue Tompkins.

“The event has grown into something that I never imagined it would seven years ago,” Waters said in a news release. “Each year, I am continually in awe of how gracious and giving our community is.”

The fashion show will feature fall and winter fashions as well as a pop-up shop.

The event will also host silent and live auctions dance performance, hair and makeup tutorials, complimentary dessert and a cash bar.

The event started small in 2011, growing from 50 attendees to 250 in 2016. The event has raised of $40,000 for the Cancer Resource Alliance.

In 2016, the event raised $19,500.

“We thought we were fooling ourselves with a goal of $20,000,” Waters said in the news release. “It seemed like quite a stretch as it was nearly double what we raised the year before, but we were humbly surprised to see the community come together.”

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the fashion show begins at 7 p.m.
