Students, parents and friends of the Cortez Adventists Christian School walk around Parque de Vida Thursday to help raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Of the17 students, two have type 2 diabetes. The students have raised more than $1,000 so far and a concert with Donny Johnson is planned for Sunday, May 20 at 1 p.m. in the American Legion Hall with all proceeds going to the cause.
