Roundtable presents talk on economic benefits of cultural resources

Green Business Roundtable presents “The Economic Boon of Cultural Resources,” a discussion featuring Brice Jones, of the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from noon to 1 p.m.

Information services specialist Donna Graves also will take part.

The discussion has been framed in the context of recent moves by President Donald Trump’s administration to cut back on the size and scope on national monuments, including Canyons of the Ancients National Monument outside Cortez. A study presented by Crow Canyon has reported that cultural resources are an economic powerhouse to the region, generating more than 1,300 jobs and $113 million in economic output in 2016.
