Sunday, Sept. 17

4:05 p.m.: Police responded to a report of stolen license plates at City Market, 508 E. Main St. A woman claimed both the plates on her vehicle had been stolen while she was parked there. The case remains under investigation.

6:05 p.m.: A woman was issued a summons on suspicion of shoplifting at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. Store employees claimed she had tried to steal a bottle of perfume and a hat, valued at $25.95 total.

9:35 p.m.: A woman was arrested outside Burger King, 520 W. Main St., on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor after a vehicle in which she was a passenger collided with the restaurant sign.

10:37 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 600 block of East Empire Street on suspicion of third-degree assault and domestic violence after a witness claimed he had hit his girlfriend and knocked her into a wall. The girlfriend was reportedly bleeding from her mouth and claimed the suspect had punched her while he was holding her down on their bed.

Monday, Sept. 18

1:12 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 400 block of North Mildred Road on suspicion of driving under restraint and driving with a defective taillight.

Tuesday, Sept. 19

5:33 p.m.: A man was arrested at Purple Sage Restaurant, 2591 E. Main St., on suspicion of trespassing and resisting arrest after restaurant employees reported he was sleeping on their property. A short time after responding officers told the man to leave, he reportedly returned to the property and started drinking alcohol there. When officers tried to issue him a trespass notice at the request of staff, he reportedly began yelling profanities at them and refused to leave. He was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to severe intoxication, and on the way to the emergency room he reportedly threw himself against the patrol car partition and kicked the door. He reportedly had to be carried into the jail.

5:46 p.m.: Police responded to a report of theft in the 1100 block of Cochita Drive. A woman said she believed her wallet, which contained her Social Security card and driver’s license, had been stolen from her vehicle sometime after Aug. 23. The case remains under investigation.

8:40 p.m.: A man was arrested at Majors and Haley PC, 117 N. Park St., on suspicion of destroying private property and disturbing the peace. A business owner claimed he had beaten the cover of an electric meter with a large rock, causing about $40 in damage. The suspect was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to severe intoxication.

11:49 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and shoplifting at Walmart, 1835 E. Main St. Store employees claimed he had tried to steal a 12-pack of beer valued at $7.28. The man was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital due to severe intoxication.

Wednesday, Sept. 20

12:24 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 800 block of South Chestnut Street on a warrant for failure to appear on a local misdemeanor charge after police responded to a report of a possible fight in the area. Responding officers determined the fight was only verbal.
