UNDERWOOD OPTICAL commissioned the art departments of the local high schools to develop a new logo for their company. The winner of the contest would be awarded a hundred dollars and their logo would be used by the local company as their new official logo. Several students participated and submitted entries. The doctor and staff of Underwood Optical voted and have officially chosen the winner of the contest and are happy to announce the winner Katlynn McGee. Katlynn is a senior at Dolores High and daughter of Karl and Katrina McGee of Dolores. The Dolores High School graphic design class was directed by instructor Karen Webster. Katlynn enjoys graphic design, but is interested in elementary education. Underwood Optical plans to use their new logo for business letterhead, envelopes, business cards and a metal art piece being created by Reflection in Metal to place in their newly remodeled office.
