Morefield Campground, located four miles within Mesa Verde National Park, is now open for primitive camping in the Zuni Loop as of April 15. There is no charge at present; however, once the fee collection box is installed, the camping fee will be $10 per night for Golden Age and Golden Access pass holders and $20 per night for all other visitors.
Primitive camping will be available through May 9. Comfort stations in the loop will be open, although there will be no showers, outside water, or hook-up sites available.
Morefield Campground opens for the season on May 10 at which time the gas station and store will be open and laundry and showers will be available. There are 15 hook-ups in the campground for RVs. For further information on Morefield Campground, please contact ARAmark at 1-800-449-2288.
