Actions in child case are unacceptable

I didn’t realize Colorado was run by pedophiles, until recently.

An acquaintance of mine recently found out that her 9-year-old child has been essentially raped by a 12-year-old numerous times. The 9-year-old has been shown by child protective services to have been greatly traumatized by the incidents.

However, the Montezuma County District Attorney’s Office and Child Protective Services refuse to prosecute or punish the 12-year-old in any way, simply because of their age. Not even a restraining order can be put in place. The predator is essentially still allowed full access to the victim.

How in the world is this considered to be acceptable? What is wrong with this state and, specifically, Montezuma County?
