A Cortez resident was killed Tuesday in a cycling accident on Cozumel Island off the coast of Mexico.
According to the Mexican media source Diario de Quintana Roo, Val Robichaux was cycling when he was hit head-on at approximately 11:40 a.m. by a taxi car driven by Josiah Gabrial Diaz, 28, who was allegedly speeding.
Roubichaux was taken by paramedics to Cozumel Medical Center, after which he died of injuries to the neck and leg.
No further information was available before deadline Wednesday.
