At the second annual Regional Nightingale Awards Banquet on March 29 three local registered nurses were recognized for their achievements.
The banquet, held in Durango, celebrated the hard work of nurses who dedicate their time and expertise to a variety of issues in Southwest Colorado.
Maureen Pyle, RN, has been a nurse for 21 years and currently serves as Coordinator of the Infusion Center at Southwest Memorial Hospital. She was nominated for the prestigious Nightingale Award and won in her category for Southwest Colorado. Pyle was further selected to represent Southwest Colorado in Denver in May at the state awards presentation.
Deana Yeomans, RN, was also nominated for a prestigious Nightingale Award. She has been a registered nurse for 21 years and currently serves as a nurse in the Same Day Care Unit at SWMH.
Susan Ciccia, RN, who serves as the Re-1 School District nurse coordinator won a Nightingale award in the non-clinical category. Ciccia was also selected to represent Southwest Colorado in Denver in May at the state awards presentation.
