Decision in juvenile rape case appalling

Recently it was the decision of Judge Douglas Walker to sentence a juvenile found guilty of rape to probation and outpatient treatment.

I am not only appalled at the blatant disregard for the safety of the victims but for the rest of the community. Why are we more concerned with his future than that of the little girl that he raped and tortured for a prolonged amount of time?

Why are we the people not taking such life-destroying actions more seriously? Why would a high school student that raped an elementary school student and broke the protection order get probation? Why does our judge continue to do nothing to those that rape children?

I am not going to sugarcoat this situation; why does the person responsible not make sure that justice is served? My goodness people, what is going on with this judicial system and why on earth would this ever happen?
