Mancos Valley beneficiariesProceeds from the 2017 Summer Brewfest benefit Mancos Valley Resources, the Mancos Farmers Market and Chicken Creek Nordic ski area.

The Mancos Farmers Market brings affordable, locally grown, seasonal produce as well as other locally sourced and crafted products to the residents of the Mancos Valley.

In winter, Chicken Creek Nordic grooms and maintains more than 20 kilometers of track for classic cross-country and skate skiing on U.S. Forest Service land 2.5 miles from Mancos. In summer, Chicken Creek Nordic maintains the same trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.

The Mancos Farmers Market and Chicken Creek Nordic both receive fiscal sponsorship from Mancos Valley Resources, a community-based, nonprofit, 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the cultural, historical, recreational, educational, and charitable assets of the Mancos Valley. MVR accomplishes its mission by supporting and sponsoring the efforts of community members to meet defined needs through grants and other funding sources.
